Grown in Northern NSW, purely on rainwater (no flood irrigation), this biodynamic (also organic) brown rice is a medium grain rice that is nutritious, delicious and sustainably grown.
Medium grain brown rice gets its characteristic nutty flavour and firmer texture from the presence of nutritious outer bran layers. The bran layers are rich in minerals and vitamins, especially the B-complex group.
Medium grain brown rice has a shorter, wider kernel, when compared to “long grain rice”. The cooked grains are more moist and tender, and have a greater tendency to cling together than long grain.
Brown rice does take longer to cook than white rice, but is more tasty & nutritious.
